JOB SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Materials Manager. Inventories, inputs data into Materials Management System, and fills medical supply carts for hospital units on a daily basis. Fills specialty carts and trays based on daily work assignment. Collects patient charges and distributes equipment as assigned on a daily basis. Supports all departments and procedural areas with request that fall under the materials management umbrella.Assist in maintaining inventory control of the Storeroom perpetual inventory through cycle counts, maintenance, and proper distribution procedures of the department. Supports the department by performing additional task as requested. Must be passionate in providing excellent customer service and patient experience outcomes. Supply and equipment terminology preferred.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Central Distribution \ Mailroom experience preferred
- BCLS Card (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
The position of Speech Therapy Manager is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, mentoring and improving the activities of all Speech Service line. This includes staffing and program development in Acute Care, Acute Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Services, at both Garfield Medical Center and Monterey Park Hospital. The position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services at each Garfield Medical Center.

- Entry level degree and appropriate licensure in Allied Health Profession required (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology).
- Minimum five years patient care experience to include acute care, outpatient and inpatient rehab.
- Supervisory experience, teaching, training and mentoring experience preferred.
- Current BLS.

The Pharmacy Tech provides medications, sterile and non-sterile products to inpatients and some outpatients under supervision of pharmacists.
Under the direction of the Rehab Director, the SLP evaluates plans, identifies, assesses, interprets, diagnoses, and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatment to patients. Selects and executes procedures for screening and assessment of speech, language, oral pharyngeal function, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders; formulates, carries out, and documents plan of care throughout the continuum of care in the inpatient and outpatient setting; and encompasses pediatric through geriatric populations. The SLP educates patients, family/caregivers and staff regarding impairments of speech, language, swallowing, and cognition disorders.
Manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and Hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse will provide care that includes timely triage, physical assessment, treatment, reassessment, discharge planning, and health education to the hospitalized patient.
