Under the general direction of the CFO, the controller is primarily responsible for financial statement and report preparation for all corporate entities. The controller is also responsible for management and control of the general accounting, payroll, and accounts payable sections. The controller will successfully manage the department ensuring that procedures are followed and internal controls are in place.   The controller also must: ▪ Be able to direct, control, and supervise the activities of the general accounting department, including payroll and accounts payable.
