The Registered Nurse provides care, treatment, counseling and health education to the hospitalized patient. The RN is responsible for planning and coordination of care across the continuum. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributes to reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians and the public. Meets and exceeds the Department of Health Service (DHS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements.

Speech Manager is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, mentoring and improving the activities of all Speech service line. This includes staffing and program development in Acute Care, Acute Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Services, at both Garfield Medical Center and Monterey Park Hospital.  Involved in direct patient care mininum of 50%.  EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING - Entry level degree and appropriate licensure in Allied Health Profession required (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology). - Minimum five years patient care experience to include acute care, outpatient and inpatient rehab. - Supervisory experience, teaching, training and mentoring experience preferred. - Current BLS.
