Under general over-sight of the Director of Case Management and Social Services, the Lead Medical Social Work Supervisor recruits, orients, trains, supervises and evaluates staff; prepares work schedules and individual assignments for social work staff; provides consultation concerning the most difficult cases; performs individual therapy and group therapy; coordinates a medical social services program; performs administrative duties; participates in hospital committees and community and professional organizations; prepares data and reports as needed; and performs related duties as required.
The Student Nurse will assist the clinical staff in the care of and treatment for patients in an acute care setting under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
The Clinical Manager of the ER will consistently practice excellent nursing skills and professionalism. He/She will assist the director with the coordination of the unit functions, demonstrate adequate leadership skills, be proficient in patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of care provided. The Clinical Manager role consistently demonstrates exemplary customer service to all entities including physicians staff, patients and families. The Clinical Manager mentors employees and strives for self improvement. The role is active in performance improvement as it applies to the department and organization. He/She coordinates staffing, assists with payroll, employee evaluations and discipline.
Assists the Unit Director in identifying equipment and supply needs for the unit. Coordinates staff Schedule. Reviews/revises policies and procedures. Services as a resource to other nursing staff for problem-solving. Helps other to use hospital resources. Review hours worked in runs payroll reports. Communicates with other departments as needed to provide efficient and appropriate patient care. The Clinical Manger, on occasion may need to assist with patient care needs. For example, covering unscheduled absences if unable to find additional staffing. Assist in retaining Nursing department staff. Participates in assigned committees/task forces. Takes lead on projects and completes in a timely manner. Contributes to the development of more complex patient care plans. Serves as a resource to staff for complex patients.

Working under the supervision of the Clinical Shift Manager, and in collaboration with the nursing and physician staff, the emergency technician assists in providing timely and appropriate patient-family centered care for all patients in the Emergency Department. Responsible for responding to requests by the nursing staff or physician staffs to assist with emergency care within the emergency department according to protocols and polices approved by the hospital and emergency department medical director, and hospital policy. Performs other duties related to the provision of care as assigned after appropriate training.

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing certificate. Licensure in the state of California as a Registered Nurse (RN). Proficient in oral and written communication skills. The major focus of this position is the supervision of the patient care environment; supporting the care team. Primary customers include the staff, patients/families and other members of the health care team. Acts as and represents Unit leadership when the Unit Manager is unavailable. Demonstrates knowledge of and delivers care in accordance with the STATE Nurse Practice Act. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Participates in maintaining staff competencies through education, mentoring and role modeling. Supports the Unit Manager in interviewing and hiring employees; training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and mentoring/coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervises licensed and unlicensed nursing staff.
