JOB SUMMARY:Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, JCAHO and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies. Is responsible for orientation, inservice education, and coordination of competency programs for assigned clinical service area. Provides expert direction and support for critical care while contributing to the setting of quality patient care standards and outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age, developmental status, spiritual and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Licensure in the state of California as a Registered Nurse (RN). Proficient in oral and written communication skills. Ability to practice leadership, interpersonal skills, communication skills, teamwork, quality improvement and professionalism.
Current California RN license
BCLS, NRP (AHA), Birth and Beyond Breastfeeding certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain

Under general supervision and medical direction, provides any or all of the designated respiratory care therapies designed to care for patients with deficiencies and abnormalities, which affect the pulmonary system and associates aspects of cardiopulmonary function.

JOB SUMMARY: The Admitting Representative interviews the patient or his/her representative to obtain identifying and verifying information, such as patient/s name, address, age, date of birth, social security number, occupation, insurance information and obtaining authorization. Also, have the capabilities of interfacing with the PBX operator and reception areas. Must be able to operate a computer to input and retrieve data. Ability to communicate with the population served, utilizing age specific techniques from neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle adult to geriatrics. Maintain proficiency in medical terminology. Special projects or other assignments may be given with expectations to be completed in a specified timeframe.

Postpartum nurses are responsible for providing care to women who have recently given birth either Vaginal or via Caesarean Section. The Nurses are involved in helping new mothers learn how to breastfeed their babies, assisting with maternal hygiene post-delivery, caesarian section recovery, assisting with all newborn tasks. Postpartum nurses must be able to multitask. They also need strong skills so that they can communicate clearly with both patients and medical professionals.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of normal limits of vital signs and commonly used lab tests by recognizing abnormal findings and reports them to the RN. Under leadership of RN the LVN gathers data on patient’s physical and emotional needs. LVN gathers data on family psychological needs. Under leadership of RN the LVN provides skilled and safe nursing care to assigned patients.

The Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician maintain equipment and supplies in a state of sterility to be used in special procedures, the Operating Room, and Labor & Delivery. Maintains medical and surgical asepsis and principles of Standard Precautions at all times. SPD Tech also maintains equipment inventory and disinfection for patient care equipment used in the hospital.
