To direct, develop, and oversee all aspects of Organizational Performance Improvement and Patient Safety, ensuring quality of care in collaboration with medical staff leadership and organization leadership to achieve strategic objectives, fiscal performance goals and ARMC quality outcomes. This position directs the performance improvement activities for the organization including risk management and patient safety, providing ongoing consulting services throughout the medical center including but not limited to identification, prioritization, planning, measurement, validation, and analysis regarding performance improvement projects and programs. This position has oversight for coordination for organization accreditation and regulatory compliance. Coordinates ARMC facility participation in AHMC initiatives, including Best Practice Teams, evidence-based practice, and community information and education regarding quality at ARMC. Coordinates ARMC participation in external benchmarking databases and national and regional quality initiatives. The position is accountable to County, State, and Federal agencies, as well as Joint Commission for maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Responsible to ensure compliance to regulatory and accreditation standards. Directs performance improvement activities and ensures that the facility is survey-ready for unexpected and scheduled visits from the Joint Commission, CDPH and other regulatory entities. Provides oversight for risk management and patient safety. Actively participates in the development and implementation of the ARMC Strategic Plan. Leads the development, implementation, and ongoing activities that define a coordinated organizational approach to Quality Services and Risk Management.
Performs various duties associated with clinical laboratory functions which are technical and clerical in nature. These tasks encompass but are not limited to such acts as specimen processing, telephone communication, filing, use of hospital/laboratory systems for ordering and registering patients. Demonstrates a willingness and ability to perform all assigned tasks.

The Director of HIM/HIPAA Privacy & Security Officer is responsible for directing the planning and coordination of health information services for the Medical Records Department at both Seton Medical Center and Seton Medical Center Coastside. Provides leadership, direction and technical expertise in the organization, management and maintenance of medical records and the cancer registry. Performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other professionals in the operating room. Performs similar duties in other areas of the hospital as assigned. Independently scrubs on all surgical procedures. Demonstrates ability to problem solve in relation to the procedure being performed. Applies basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, microbiology, and pharmacology for optimum surgical patient care. Demonstrates knowledge and practice of patient care concepts. Applies the principles of asepsis during surgical procedures.

Plans and implements plans and implements specific treatment programs for individuals according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy. Collaborates with the treatment team. Provides supervision and direction for the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and Occupational Therapy Student (OTS) when applicable.

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Certification by the National Board of Occupational Therapy.
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of California.

Provides supervision and direction for the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and Rehab Aide.
The Staff Physical Therapist reports to the Senior Physical Therapist and/or Physical Therapy Manager and/or Director of Rehabilitation. The Staff Physical Therapist supervises Physical Therapist Assistants, and Rehab Aides.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Bachelor of Science: Graduate of a School/Program in Physical Therapy approved by the APTA.
- California licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
- BCLS required (AHA).
- Can work for both acute and rehab settings preferred
- Willing to work weekends and Holidays
