The Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) functions to promote and improve patient experience by managing and executing customer service strategies and initiatives throughout the organization.   The PEC collaboratively works with other patient advocates, nursing and ancillary staffs and other care partners to support the growth and development of staff, support operations, provide education and training, and assist in marketing the hospital and organization.  The PEC demonstrates a positive attitude at all times, completes daily rounds and follow up calls, analyzes data regarding processes and develops action plans to address findings.  Facilitates house-wide patient experience program and caregiver excellence.  The Patient Experience Coordinator develops and reinforces service behaviors and excellence strategies, including rounding with purpose, AIDET, service recovery, teamwork, patient/family involvement with shift report, cleanliness & quietness. JOB SUMMARY:  This employee, in collaboration with the Patient Experience staff, will perform purposeful daily rounding on patients and families in the facility to assess patient needs and collaborate with nursing and other staff to ensure that needs are met.  The staff member will demonstrate professional courtesy at all times, and will role-model excellent verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.  They will conduct discharge follow-up phone calls, and perform other patient/family satisfaction activities as requested. The employee will respond to basic non-clinical concerns and provide appropriate referral for further assistance when needed.     EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING - High School Graduate; Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. - Bilingual communication skills including fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese and/or Spanish; and ability to read/write in Chinese or Spanish is preferred. - Current BCLS Card (AHA) - Minimum one year experience working in healthcare, preferably in acute care hospital is required.  Prior experience in customer service / customer relations preferred.  Positive interpersonal relationship skills required, including the ability to assess situations, communicate clearly, collaborate, and resolve problems.

JOB SUMMARY:  Under general supervision, but not direct supervision, provides the necessary top quality radiograph for diagnosis of patients referred to X-ray Department, will rotate on stand-by schedule as required for radiology coverage.  Performs work related duties as assigned or as required.   Candidate will be efficient in performing radiology procedures .Candidate will explain procedures to the patients, comfort, and position patients on the exam table. Candidate will select technique parameters in keeping with ALARA. The candidate will review and evaluate digital images for quality to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Candidate will use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients, visitors, and staff. Candidates’ job skills require excellent written and verbal communication, sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of patients. Attention to detail and the ability to follow a physician's instructions will be important to the success of working in a team concept. The Nursing Assistant supports the hospital mission and vision.  The Nurse Assistant utilizes knowledge of patient’s age, developmental status, spiritual and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care.  The position contributes to the provision of safety and quality nursing care that results in positive outcomes in patient care.  EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING   - Completion of Nursing Assistant Course, Current certification for Nurse Aide (C.N.A.). - High School Graduate or equivalent experience preferred - Six months acute hospital experience preferred. - Current BCLS card (AHA) .

The position of Speech Therapy Manager is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, mentoring and improving the activities of all Speech Service line.  This includes staffing and program development in Acute Care, Acute Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Services, at both Garfield Medical Center and Monterey Park Hospital.   The position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services at each Garfield Medical Center. Speech Manager is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, mentoring and improving the activities of all Speech service line. This includes staffing and program development in Acute Care, Acute Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Services, at both Garfield Medical Center and Monterey Park Hospital.  Involved in direct patient care mininum of 50%.  EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING - Entry level degree and appropriate licensure in Allied Health Profession required (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology). - Minimum five years patient care experience to include acute care, outpatient and inpatient rehab. - Supervisory experience, teaching, training and mentoring experience preferred. - Current BLS.

The Denials Manager appeals all denials using InterQual criteria.  Evaluates, tracks and trends denials and implements denial prevention programs.  Works closely with Case Managers, Physicians and multidisciplinary team to ensure compliance with documentation and educates as needed. The Respiratory Care Practitioner II (“RCP II”) is responsible for providing safe, quality respiratory patient care and teaching to patients and families.  Additional responsibilities include collaboration with the health care team, participation in on-going feedback regarding performance improvement, implementation of clinical pathway/plan of care to guide patient care delivery.   The RCP II must demonstrate proficiency in adult general care areas, critical care areas, and Bronchoscopy procedures.  As needed, this position may be assigned to perform Pulmonary Function Tests or act as a relief lead.  Acting in a relief lead capacity includes organizing, delegating and coordinating the daily activities of the Respiratory staff.   This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center (“ARMC”). The Discharge Planner provides services to patients, families, and others in all hospital areas specific to assignment as applicable, and in accordance with hospital customer service expectations.  Professional services to be provided to meet the discharge planning needs of the patient may include, but are not limited to, case consultation, patient education, resource management, and assistance with discharge planning.   The Discharge Planner is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, and also provides community outreach, networking, and liaison with community programs as needed.
