This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include directing PCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan, MD orders, documentation and evaluation. Integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities.

A Registered Nurse with responsibility for clinical and management of nursing services in area of responsibility. Responsible and accountable for coordinating and supervising the nursing care provided to patients on assigned nursing unit. Participates in establishment and implementation of Hospital and Nursing objectives and policies and procedures along with unit identified Performance Improvement Projects. Assists Nursing Director with appropriate unit initiatives including clinical rounds, orientation of new hires, evaluation of annual staff performance, physician collaboration, educational needs of staff, participates in appropriate meetings and or committees. Reports to Nursing Director, adheres to chain of command.

Under the direction of the Rehab Director, the SLP evaluates, plans, identifies, assesses, interprets, diagnoses, and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatment to patients. Selects and executes procedures for screening and assessment of speech, language, oral pharyngeal function, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders; formulates, carries out, and documents plan of care throughout the continuum of care in the inpatient and outpatient setting, and encompasses pediatric through geriatric populations. The SLP educates patients, family/caregivers and staff regarding impairments of speech, language, swallowing, and cognition disorders.

Performs various duties associated with clinical laboratory functions which are technical and clerical in nature. Under the direction of the department manager or designee, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. Participates in technical duties directively involved with the CT scanner including developing, initiating, training and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit as well as other portable and stationary X-ray units within the department.
Labor & Delivery Nurses provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of an infant. They are responsible for making sure that the medical and emotional needs of the patient are met throughout birthing process.
Postpartum nurses are responsible for providing care to women who have recently given birth either Vaginal or via Caesarean Section. The Nurses are involved in helping new mothers learn how to breastfeed their babies, assisting with maternal hygiene post-delivery, caesarian section recovery, assisting with all newborn tasks. Postpartum nurses must be able to multitask. They also need strong skills so that they can communicate clearly with both patients and medical professionals.
The Clinical Manager of Labor & Delivery is a Registered Nurse (RN) who works in collaboration with the Director of Perinatal Services on administrative tasks and acts as a clinical resource for the Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit. The Clinical Manager of Labor and Delivery shall directly supervise staff and assure the quality of clinical nursing care of patients in the L&D Unit. The Clinical Manager will plan and maintain safe staffing patterns for the patient care unit while meeting the patient’s needs based on appropriate level of care. Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, CDC, and other unit specific nursing practice guidelines recommended.
